Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 29, 2026
1. Who we are
FinerNest (“FinerNest,” “we,” or “us”) provides an online marketplace connecting homeowners with independent home-service providers. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to finernest.com and related services.
2. Information we collect
- Account & profile data: name, phone number, city/state and approximate location, languages, years of experience, licensing status and license documents, services offered and per-unit rates, profile photos and work photos.
- Verification data: the one-time codes and status used to verify your phone number via SMS.
- Waitlist data: contact details you submit to join a market waitlist.
- Technical data: session cookies, IP address, device/browser information, and basic usage logs.
3. How we use information
- To create and operate your account and public profile;
- To verify your identity and phone number;
- To match homeowners with relevant pros and power search;
- To communicate service-related updates;
- To maintain security, prevent fraud, and comply with law.
4. SMS / text messaging
We use a third-party telephony provider (Twilio) to send verification codes and service messages. Your phone number is shared with that provider solely to deliver those messages. Message and data rates may apply. We do not sell your phone number.
5. Service providers we share with
We share limited data with vendors who help us run the Service, under contracts that limit their use of it:
- Supabase — database and file storage hosting;
- Twilio — SMS verification;
- Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, and security;
- Google Maps Platform — city/address autocomplete.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. Public profile information
Information on a Pro’s public profile (name, city/state, services, rates, bio, photos, and licensing status) is visible to the public by design. Phone numbers are used for verification and account access and are not published on public profile pages.
7. Cookies and Do-Not-Track (CalOPPA)
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in (a secure, HttpOnly session cookie). We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Because we do not track users across third-party websites, we do not respond differently to browser “Do Not Track” signals at this time.
8. Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect and how we use it;
- Request access to or a copy of your personal information;
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information;
- Request deletion of your personal information;
- Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information — note that we do not sell or share your information as those terms are defined under the CPRA;
- Not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@finernest.com. We will verify your request using your account information before responding.
9. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion as described above.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including encryption in transit, hashed session tokens, and server-side access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated “Last updated” date.
